Russian Jewish Congress Convenes Its Presidium Meeting

On March 18, the Russian Jewish Congress Presidium met in Memorial Synagogue at Poklonnaya Gora presided by President of the Russian Jewish Congress Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor.

The RJC Presidium re-elected with the majority vote Nikolay Propirny as its Executive Vice President and introduced a position of a vice president for fundraising. Darina Privalko who worked for Hillel International for several years, was unanimously elected to this post.

Upon recommendations of the RJC Presidium Bureau, Presidium members, including Boris Liberman, Vitaliy Malkin and Simon Yusufov were relieved of their post, and Boris Belotserkovsky was promoted to a Bureau member.

Newle elected members of the RJC Presidium include member of the Russian Federation Public Chamber and President of the Holocaust Foundation Alla Gerber, Director of the Moscow Bureau for Human Rights Aleksand Brod, Chairman of Maccabi Union Russia Vadim Polyansky, Director of Idud Chasidim Hesed Association in Russia Leonid Kolton and Rector of the St. Petersburg Institute for Jewish Studies Dmitry Elyashevich.
