EJC President Kantor Meets Pope On International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Pope Francis told the Jewish delegation that when he was a child, his parents use to receive visits of some Jewish friends, so he knows good their culture and traditions

European Jewish Congress (EJC) President Moshe Kantor met with the Pope in the Vatican on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The Pope spoke about the importance of the day and said that “for us, remembering the victims of the Holocaust is important so that this human tragedy never happens again.

Kantor gave the Pope a book with a description of all Jewish communities in Europe. He proposed to the Pope to do an exhibit of his art collection in the Vatican, and he also brought him a special  decorated Jewish Blessing for the Home.
