European Jewish Congress sends its heartfelt congratulations on the formation of a new government in Israel

The European Jewish Congress (EJC) sends its heartfelt congratulations to the State of Israel and its people on the formation of a new government. Diaspora Jewry is gratified to see such a wide government representing many different views and communities in Israel.

Dr. Moshe Kantor, President of the EJC, also wishes the greatest of success to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Alternate Prime Minister Yair Lapid on their new positions and hopes that they will guide Israel wisely and continue working closely with Diaspora Jewry. He looks forward to working closely with them and all the members of the new government.

In his personal letter to Prime Minister Bennett, Dr. Kantor wrote: “Over many years now you have served the Jewish state with distinction, innovation and commitment and I feel sure that your skills and devotion in bringing together elements from across the political spectrum in the government which will undoubtedly lead to the betterment of all in our one Jewish state, working in unity for the goals all lovers of Israel truly share.”

Dr. Kantor would also like to thank outgoing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for all of his hard work and achievements on behalf of Israel and world Jewry, and for his close attention to the bonds that unite Jews around the world.
